Christmas Day!

So after going to bed at Midnight I proceed to wake up every hour listening for the girls to see if they are awake yet. You would think that I am the kid at how excited I get for Christmas! Finally at 7:30am Harper wakes up and hears something in the living room. So she walks over to the tree and peeks in the box that the noise is coming from. It was a baby kitty...she had a look of 'what the hell is this thing'. So before getting the kitty out we go and wake up Payeton...come on child it is already 8am! Payeton was oblivious to the kitty in the box and goes right away to the wrapped presents under the tree. She starts creating piles of everyone's gifts.

The girls had a really good Christmas. Thank you Santa, grandparents, aunts and uncles and friends for helping make their Christmas so much FUN!

After opening so many presents Harper got exhausted and fell asleep holding her new toothbrush on the floor!

Payeton was sad that her daddy wasn't there to spend Christmas with her but was glad that she got to go to his house for a couple of days! The girls are growing so much and becoming very strong and independent. We hope that everyone had a Merry Christmas!!

Slot Machines!

On December 19th I won big...

While entertaining friends and family for Amanda's Surprise 25th Birthday party Conner decides that my butt crack looks like a slot machine. As I was bent over picking something off the floor he proceeds to put quarters down my pants! After getting them out of my underwear I think nothing more of it.

I go home put on my pajamas and go to bed. The next morning I wake and up and go to the bathroom. As I am pulling down my pants I hear a 'cling, plop, splash' so I look in the toilet and of course find a quarter. I guess I must have missed one...too bud it didn't get converted into a silver dollar! Maybe next time.

Giving Thanks...

As most of you know we have been on one heck of a roller coaster ride this past year. We have shed tears of joy and unfortunately tears of sorrow.

To start our roller coaster off we mourned the passing of Papa Bill but was blessed a couple of months later with the birth of Harper, then this summer Payeton got lost in the woods for a long 5 hours, and last but not least Adam and I separated. I am looking forward to a new year and hopefully a new start. But before then I want to give thanks to those who have touched our lives so much this past year.

First, want to thank the Search and Rescue team for finding our baby girl in the woods unharmed. I want to thank all of my family and Adam's for the support you have given us during this difficult time. I want to thank my friends for always being there when I needed to talk, cry, laugh or scream. I have been touched by all of you and can't express how much you mean to me. Last, I want to thank God for the blessing of my 2 children. I thank him for giving me the courage to move to the big city...it was by far the best decision I have ever made.

Payeton ~ thank you for being such a strong little girl. I admire your independence, stubbornness, and unconditional love for everyone. I look forward to your jokes and our story time every night. I thank God everyday for giving me such a beautiful daughter.

Harper ~ thank you for being so darn cute. I admire your smile, determination, and hint of mischief. I look forward to your warm hugs and slobber kisses every night. I thank God everyday for blessing me with your spirit.

Happy Thanksgiving to Everyone! I hope you all have a safe holiday season.

5 going on 16...

Payeton is enjoying school and comes home everyday with a new song. She is my little artist...musically and artistically. Next week is her first parent teacher conference and I can't wait to see how she is doing in school. I can't believe she is already 5, although, she acts like she is going on 16. Last night she was upset with me because I wouldn't let her wear makeup. She started screaming you're being so rude to me...I told her no Payeton you just aren't listening...so what does she say back, no mom you aren't listening to me. Oh, the joys of girls! Payeton is a big help with her younger sister and loves to read books and watch movies.

10 Months...

Harper just got her first two teeth! They are so cute coming in on the bottom, right next to each other. She is also starting to walk. Last night she took a good 5 steps without falling down. I can't believe how quickly she has grown up. I need to start planning her 1st birthday party! Harper has quite the personality...and attitude. When she gets upset with her sister she likes to pull her hair. She is eating table food now and loves it. I can't get her to eat much of the baby food anymore...I don't blame her. She loves to be chased around the house and unroll the toilet paper.

Disney On Ice

What better way to start off the Holiday Season than with Disney on Ice World of Fantasy. We got to see the entire Mickey gang (except for Daisy...I think she might be stuck up), Ariel, Lion King, Cars and Tinker Bell. In the very beginning when Mickey came out Payeton leans over to me and goes 'mom that isn't the real Mickey that's just someone dressed up'. Then a few minutes later Mater comes on to the ice and Payeton leans over and goes 'but that is the real Mater!'.

Harper had lots of fun dancing to all of the music and Conner loved Mickey Mouse. It was lots of fun and I can't wait for the Nutcracker!

Happy Halloween

Trick or Treat smell my feet give me something good to eat! Trick or Treat smell my feet give me all the bushes to eat! Trick or Treat smell my feet give me all the boobs! This is what my 5 year old was singing in the car on the way home from the Halloween carnival. Oh kids, aren't they just too cute. I'm starting to wander if Payeton is going to be a lesbian when she grows up (hehehe).

We had lots of fun trick or treating at the Uptown Mall and then we went and saw a couple of friends. Payeton went as Jasmine and Harper was Winnie the Pooh. Aren't they both just so adorable. I just want to pinch Harper's cheeks...okay I already do.

We of course got to spend the holiday with great family. Conner went as Mickey Mouse!

Now we have the joy of eating candy every night before bed. Wait, maybe that is why my kids aren't sleeping. Geeze what is a mom suppose to do...okay I'll eat it all!

Bumpits

As seen on TV.

I know we've all seen those infomercials that moved us to the edge of our seats. As we watch the 20 minute long commercial we start to salivate with enjoyment and can't wait to call the 1-800 number. Only $29.99, what a deal!

Order placed.

How long does it take to ship a little box? As I check the mailbox everyday and still no package. Finally, the box arrives! (Well, I didn't fall for the infomercial but Christine did and I can't wait to borrow her Bumpits.)

So I take Christine's Bumpits home and can't wait to see how they work. Amanda, Payeton and I hang out in front of the mirror giggling non-stop while teasing our hair. They make it look so easy on TV. After a lot of teasing and hair spray we finally get them to work. Only to look in the mirror and see Peg Bundy staring back at me.

Cousins

Having someone to play with is always fun. But dressing up with your cousin is even better!

Fall Fun

The leaves are changing color, the air is nice and crisp and the sweet smell of Fall is in the air! Oh, how I love this time of year. Payeton is gearing up for Halloween as she dresses up everyday. She is toying between being Jasmine or Sacajawea. Her school name is Sacajawea Elementary. Harper is growing as fast as the leaves are falling. She is talking up a storm and loves to pull hair. Last weekend we went to a pumpkin patch where they had a Zebra and Wallaroo...the kids loved it! They got to go down a big slide, climb on a hay stack, go through a maze and pick their own pumpkins. We ended up with 6 pumpkins. We will have to find a big hill to roll them down after Halloween!

Along Came Polly

So while at work today it hits me out of no where that I need to go number 2. I usually only do that in the privacy of my own home but couldn't wait. So I run downstairs to use the restroom at work. I get all done and there is no toilet paper anywhere...all that there is is rough paper towels. Damn! What is a girl to do. So I decide to bare through the pain of using paper towels only to clog the toilet with them. As all of this is going on the image of Ben Stiller pops in to my head from the movie Along Came Polly. At least I didn't use an expensive loofah! Lesson of the day always hold it until you get home!

Hanging out with Mom!

Pumpkin Patch Carnival

Payeton's school had a Halloween carnival and she wore a Snow White dress, Jasmin shoes and had Aunt Amanda do her hair. She was a beautiful Princess! She had lots of fun playing miniature golf, fishing, pumpkin toss and face painting. I got to meet a lot of her school friends finally. One of her friends name is Jasmine and Payeton thinks that is pretty cool.

Mee too!

Since Harper and Conner both sleep in a pack-n-play Payeton thought that she should get to sleep in it as well. I told her that it was too small and not very comfortable but she wanted to anyways. Needless, to say she didn't stay in it for very long! Although, all of the kids love to get in it and play.

Welcome!

Hello Family & Friends~
I decided to join the technology wave and create a blog for us girls. This way I no longer have to send out a million emails that takes for ever to open. I will try to update the blog weekly with current events, stories and pictures of the girls.

Love,
Cidnee
